Pierre Wohlgemuth
Dr. Pierre Wohlgemuth is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics and Chair of the Division of Endodontics at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine.
He received his DDS degree from the University of Lorraine in France in 2014. After practicing as a general dentist in Paris and in his hometown of Metz, he pursued advanced training in endodontics by completing the Endodontics Program for International Dentists at NYU College of Dentistry in 2015. He then practiced endodontics in Switzerland before returning to NYU, where he completed the Advanced Education Program in Endodontics in 2018.
Dr. Wohlgemuth served as a full-time Assistant Professor in the Division of Endodontics at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine from 2019 to 2021. He later joined NYU College of Dentistry, where he served as Assistant Director of the Advanced Education Program in Endodontics and full-time Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Endodontics. He currently holds an Adjunct Assistant Professor appointment at NYU College of Dentistry.
Dr. Wohlgemuth lectures nationally and internationally and has authored peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters in endodontics. He is a listed speaker for the American Association of Endodontists and is committed to advancing the specialty through education, research, and clinical excellence. He has consistently maintained an active clinical practice alongside his academic and leadership roles.
Dr. Wohlgemuth currently serves as Associate Professor and Chair of the Division of Endodontics at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine. He also holds an appointment as Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Endodontics at NYU College of Dentistry.He has maintained an active clinical practice throughout his academic career, treating patients in both faculty practice and residency settings. His clinical expertise encompasses root canal treatment, root canal retreatment, endodontic microsurgery, management of traumatic dental injuries, and pediatric endodontics including regenerative endodontic procedures, apexification, and apexogenesis.
Scholarship & Lecturing: Dr. Wohlgemuth lectures nationally and internationally, presenting at professional meetings and symposia on topics including endodontic surgery, microsurgical technique, and dental education. He has authored peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters in the field of endodontics and is a listed recommended speaker for the American Association of Endodontists.
